Zong launches subscription billing service in US!

For this edition of Meet the Team, Zong sat down with Tamer Hassanein. Many of you already know Tamer (aka "Mr T", aka "T-bird") as he's been spreading the Zong word for over a year.

Zong: Hey there, Tamer. Tell me, how do you spend your time?

Tamer: A question for the ages, my friend. Seriously? Oh, I thought that was obvious by now. I make our customers more revenue than they ever thought possible!

Zong: Make it rain, Mr. T. Favorite color?

Tamer: Formative years, purple. Now, depends on what it's for. In general, green is my favorite color, but the reality is like a lot of colors...especially Zong Red.

Zong: Go on! I feel sorry for your car salesman. What do you like most about working for me?

Tamer: I love the people that I work with, both at Zong and our customers. They are exciting and fun, and most importantly, they are people I learn from.

Zong: I feel warm. Favorite movie?

Tamer: Tough one. I've seen Ace Venture (Pet Detective) more times than any other movie. (You don't want to know the number, I was young and foolish). I always loved the movies Swingers and Good Will Hunting. Also very much enjoy the Count of Monte Cristo. Oh, and Gladiator. Seriously epic.

Zong: You're so money, T. What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?

Tamer: I definitely love to travel, both to familiar and unfamiliar places. My friends and family are pretty spread out geographically, so there's always someone to see wherever I go. I love to eat awesome food and have taken great interest in the excellent cuisine in San Francisco. One thing I'm famous for almost everywhere I go is my stories. Not necessarily the quality of them, but certainly the quantity. I once summarized a 22 minute episode of Seinfeld in 25 minutes. Legendary.

Zong: Zzzzzzss....[snort]. This is normally the part where I ask you if there's anything else you'd like to add. In your case, I'll take a pass. Thanks for your time, T-bird. Rock on.

Paradise Paintball

Paradise Paintball is a 3D multiplayer shoot 'em game for the social web made by CMUNE, a new Zong customer. The game offers individual and team play in a couple different 3D settings. Simply put, the gameplay is awesome. Check out a screencast from Zong's David Marcus to see more of the game and how they integrated mobile paymemt seamlessly into the gaming experience. Developer Tip
To maximize your revenue, be sure to prominently display the Zong logo throughout the payment process to let your customers know they are transacting with Zong. This will ensure that the user recognizes the charge when it appears on their phone bill, making it highly unlikely that they will request a refund due to unknown charges.
