Australian FlagTie me kangaroo down, sport, tie me...
We're live in Australia!  You can now access 100% of Australian wireless consumers with Zong.  When it comes to carrier coverage, we don't mess around.  When we open a new country, our goal is to cover at least 95% of the wireless consumers.  This means that when one of your customers clicks the Zong button, at least 95% of the time they will be able to complete a payment.  Anything less and you risk dropping your payment conversion rate to unacceptably low levels.

We're ready to make money in Australia when you are.  If you have any questions, just send a note to integration@zong.com.

Coming soon
Like recurring revenue?  You'll soon be able to charge your customers on a recurring basis with Zong subscriptions. We'll also be adding some more new countries in the coming days and weeks so be on the lookout.  The Zong Blog is a good place to stay abreast of all our product news.

Meet the Team

For this, the second edition of Meet the Team, we sat down with Cedric Bompart to give you a little flavor of folks behind Zong.  Cedric is a Senior Developer at Zong and a helluva nice guy.

Zong: Hey there, Ced.  Can I call you Ced?

Cedric: You should call me master!

Zong: Whoa, step off Earthing!  You should know better by now, unless of course you're a Brit.  What is it that you do for me anyway?

Cedric: I'm working in the Geneva office as a Sr Developer, designing and developing your Web Payment Service.

Zong: That's more like it.  And I must say, Ced, you're doing a mighty fine job.  What do you like most about your work?

Cedric: The freedom to use whatever tools and technologies I need to embrace my creativity.

Zong: I feel fuzzy.  What do you enjoy doing when you're not at the office?

Cedric: I'm a member of Yoseikan Budo section in Geneva, which is a combination of different Japanese Martial Arts.  Otherwise, I'm quite busy with my 2 year old son!

Zong: Pie yah!  Favorite movie?

Cedric: Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) with Keanu Reeves, Anthony Hopkins and Winona Ryder.

Zong: Hey, you forgot the name of the cameraman.  Kidding.  Most embarrasing moment?

Cedric: I've got a short memory so I've trashed most things.  Anyway, what do you do?

Zong: I make extra coin for developers.  Zoooooong!

Developer Tip
If you're using our Web Payment Service, be sure and provide the Home URL.  Doing so will give your users a way to manually select which country their carrier relationship is based.  For example,  assume you have a user who is from the UK but is on vacation in France.  Your app will likely assume this user is French and therefore initiate a Zong session in French.  If you provide us with a Home URL (where the user can manually select which country they're from) then they will have the ability to choose UK as their country, like this:

Send email to integration@zong.com with any questions or to provide your Home URL.
